Classic Custard

A timeless dessert that has been enjoyed by royalty for centuries.

1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
2. In a saucepan, heat up 2 cups of milk just until it's about to boil.
3. In a separate bowl, beat 3 eggs with 1/2 cup of sugar until the mixture becomes light and frothy.
4. Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture while continuously whisking to avoid curdling.
5. Pour the mixture through a sieve into a baking dish.
6. Bake in a water bath for about 50-60 minutes, or until the custard is set but still jiggles a little when shaken.
7. Let it cool down to room temperature and then chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
8. Once set, sprinkle some sugar on top and use a kitchen torch to caramelize it until it's golden brown.
