Crispy Skirt Steak with Broccoli and Orange-Mushroom Sauce

This dish combines the juicy flavors of citrus with the earthy notes of mushrooms to create a delicious sauce to serve on top of crispy skirt steak and tender broccoli.

In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic, and sauté until the mushrooms are browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
Add the orange juice and zest to the skillet, and stir to combine. Simmer over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Meanwhile, heat a large skillet or grill pan over high heat. Slice the cooked skirt steak into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
Once the pan is hot, add the steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until crispy and browned.
In a separate pot, steam the broccoli until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
To serve, plate the crispy steak alongside the tender broccoli, and spoon the orange-mushroom sauce over the top. Enjoy!
