Pan-Seared Chicken with Braised Cabbage This dish is a perfect combination of tender chicken breasts and savory cabbage, flavored with garlic and smoked paprika. It's a hearty and healthy meal that's easy to prepare and sure to please.
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and transfer it to a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. While the chicken is cooking, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic and red pepper mixture. Sprinkle with smoked paprika and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes or until the cabbage is tender. To serve, divide the cabbage among four plates and top with the sliced chicken breasts. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
