Spaghetti Carbonara

This classic Italian dish is creamy and rich with crispy bacon pieces and a runny egg sauce coating every strand of spaghetti.

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente.
2. Cook bacon in a pan over medium-high heat until crisp, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from pan and chop into small pieces.
3. Beat 2 eggs and 2 egg yolks in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and mix well.
4. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the spaghetti.
5. Add the spaghetti to the pan with the bacon and toss to combine. Remove from heat.
6. Slowly pour the egg mixture over the spaghetti while stirring continuously to prevent the eggs from scrambling. Add reserved pasta water if necessary to create a creamy sauce.
7. Serve hot with a sprinkle of black pepper and additional grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
